VFVA-IT Specialist (Implementation & Support, ICT)
Mission Deliver reliable technical implementation and post-sales support for ICT solutions (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, hosting, M365/AD, basic virtualization), assisting the ICT Pre-Sales Engineer and ensuring smooth customer onboarding, configuration, and after-care—without owning solution design, pricing, or final architecture approvals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer Onboarding & Provisioning Execute approved provisioning steps (accounts, licenses, IP plans, VLANs, routing rules) under the solution design provided by the Pre-Sales Engineer. Prepare site readiness checklists and assist with site surveys. 2. Implementation & Configuration (under supervision) Install and configure switches/APs, CPE routers, firewalls, basic servers/VMs, M365/AD settings as per approved HLD/LLD, Backup and DNS. Deployment of all cloud infrastructures Setup and Manage company’s IT infrastructures Manage cyber-security solutions 3. Support & Troubleshooting (L2/L3) Triage tickets, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve incidents/requests within SLA; escalate to NOC/Core/Transmission as needed. Maintain accurate ticket updates and customer communication. 4. Monitoring & Maintenance Use monitoring software with pro-active approach on issues spanning across all sectors. 5. Documentation & Handover Clear and updated documentation of all set-ups and existing infrastructure. 6. Customer Enablement Provide basic user/admin walkthroughs after installation (how-to, access, contacts for support). Capture customer feedback for continuous improvement. 7. Asset & License Control Record device serials, warranty, and license keys; update asset register. Keep track of all License renewals across all cloud services 8. Compliance, Safety & Standards Follow change management, health & safety (PPE), data privacy, and acceptable use standards. Adhere to security baselines provided by the Pre-Sales Engineer. Competences: 1. Knowledge Bachelor in IT/Networking (or equivalent hands-on experience). Over 2 years in IT support/field engineering (network/Wi-Fi/firewall basics). Nice to have: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Fortinet NSE 1-3, M365/Azure fundamentals. Exposure to Cyber security solutions Valid driver’s licence; able to work occasional after-hours/on-call. 2. Skills Solid TCP/IP fundamentals; switching/Wi-Fi basics; firewall policy concepts. Windows Server/M365/AD basics; VMware/Hyper-V fundamentals a plus. Clear documentation, customer communication, and time management. Problem-solving with disciplined ticket hygiene. Tier 1 to Tier 3 IT support Backup Solutions 3. Personal characteristics Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies. Available for urgent and emergency situations.
