Mission
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Human Resources functions, ensuring compliance with Company policies, Vanuatu Labour legislation, statutory obligations and organisational objectives while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace.

Job Description

Main Duties
    Work closely with the CEO and Directors to develop and implement Human Resources strategies and initiatives that support the Company's objectives. 
    Develop, implement and administer Human Resources plans, policies and procedures, ensuring employees understand and comply with them. 
    Plan, organise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. 
    Administer and annually review the Company's compensation and benefits programme, including salary structures, job descriptions, salary surveys, merit increases and the Performance Management System (PMS). 
    Develop, recommend and implement Human Resources policies and procedures, maintain the Employee Handbook, administer employee benefits, approve HR-related invoices and monitor cost-effectiveness. 
    Ensure full compliance with Vanuatu Labour legislation, statutory requirements and Company policies. 
    Oversee payroll administration, leave management, employee benefits and other Human Resources administrative functions. 
    Ensure the timely preparation and submission of statutory reports and Human Resources reports to Management and relevant authorities.
    Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development programmes for employees. 
    Monitor and manage the Human Resources Department budget. 
    Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and performance issues. 
    Monitor employee turnover, retention and other Human Resources metrics. 
    Lead the recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction process for new employees. 
    Maintain accurate Human Resources records, reports, organisation charts and employee files. 
    Participate in management meetings and provide Human Resources advice and recommendations. 
    Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Human Resources services and organisational effectiveness. 
    Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture. 
    Ensure Human Resources processes comply with Vodafone Vanuatu's ISO Management System requirements. 
    Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
1.    Competencies
    Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline. 
    Minimum three (3) years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist or Human Resources management role. 
    Sound knowledge of Vanuatu Labour legislation and employment practices. 
    Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, remuneration, leave management and employee benefits. 
    Experience in recruitment, performance management, disciplinary procedures and employee relations. 
    Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, influence and support managers and employees. 
    Highly computer literate with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
    Experience in developing and implementing Human Resources policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO documentation and Human Resources reporting.
    Valid Vanuatu Driver's Licence.

2.    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position is responsible for the supervision, performance management and development of Human Resources employees within the department.

3.    Work Environment
    This position operates in a professional office environment within a multicultural and multinational organisation. 
    The role requires a high level of professionalism, collaboration and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation. 

4.    Personal characteristics
    Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources functions and best practices. 
    Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of French and/or Bislama will be an advantage. 
    Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills. 
    Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
    Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills. 
    High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. 
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
    Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business applications. 
    Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. 
    Positive, proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
