Mission
The Graduate Engineer –Operations & Troubleshooting will support the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of Vodafone Vanuatu's Radio Access Network (RAN), Transmission and Power infrastructure to ensure high network availability, reliability and service quality.
The successful candidate will gain practical experience in network operations, fault management, KPI monitoring, field support, technical reporting and network optimisation while progressively developing the technical competencies required to become a qualified RAN Engineer.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities
    Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting GSM, UMTS, HSPA and LTE network faults. 
    Support proactive monitoring of network performance and service quality. 
    Assist in fault investigation, escalation and resolution. 
    Support network optimisation activities and KPI monitoring. 
    Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly operational reports, including network outage reports and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). 
    Support field activities and provide operational assistance to RAN Technicians. 
    Assist with Transmission, Microwave, Starlink, VSAT and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) operations. 
    Participate in network maintenance, optimisation and deployment projects. 
    Assist in coordinating power systems and logistics activities. 
    Ensure compliance with Vodafone Vanuatu's Health & Safety policies and operational procedures. 
    Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

Desired Skills and Experience

Competencies:
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
    Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology or a related discipline. 
    Recent graduate or up to one (1) year of relevant experience in telecommunications or a related technical field. 
    Basic understanding of GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, Transmission and IP networking principles. 
    Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bislama 
    Good computer literacy. 
    Valid Driver's Licence or willingness to obtain one.

    Physically fit and willing to travel to remote sites and climb telecommunications towers in accordance with Vodafone Vanuatu's Health & Safety requirements.
