  • VFVA-Technician

    Mission The Technician (Level 2) is responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the optimal performance of telecommunications networks at Vodafone Vanuatu. This role involves troubleshooting network issues, maintaining equipment, and assisting customers with technical inquiries. Key Responsibilities:  Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.  Customer Assistance: Assist customers with queries, provide guidance on product usage, and resolve complaints efficiently.  Technical Support: Offer expert technical support for various Vodafone Vanuatu services, including email, internet, and network connectivity.  Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to RBS, MSAN, OLT platforms, email configurations, and network connections.  Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Vodafone Vanuatu products, services, policies, and procedures.  Equipment Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, modems, and antennas.  Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve problems with network connectivity, performance, and service disruptions.  Network Configuration: Set up and customize network equipment according to specific requirements and protocols.  Technical Support: Assist customers and end-users with technical inquiries and issues related to telecommunications services.  Network Monitoring: Track network usage, identify potential bottlenecks, and optimize performance.  Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other team members and departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.  Preferred certifications include CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA).  Previous experience in a telecommunications role, with a focus on technical support or network maintenance.  Strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, modems, and antennas.
